Fundraising Event Volunteers Volunteers are always needed for various fund raising events held throughout the year, such as our Winter Gala Event, Spring Luncheon, the Golf Classic in June, and the Protecting Children event in the fall. Morning, afternoon and/or evening assistance is needed, both during the week and/or on the weekends, depending upon the specific event and job assignments. This may include the set-up and break-down of the event, event décor, on-site registration, raffle ticket sales, staffing of the refreshment tables, activity coordinators, etc. Orientation is provided prior to the event or on-site depending upon the event scope and the assignment. Through
volunteerism you help support our network of 67 programs on Long
Island and the boroughs of New York, and can take pride that your
efforts are making someone else's life a little easier! Each year
our supporters look forward to our June Golf Classic, held at
one of the premier country clubs here on Long Island. Volunteers
are invited to join in the festivities in helping to make this
one of our most successful events. We encourage individuals, employee
activity committees, service clubs or student groups to call us
if you are looking for a project or a volunteer activity to enhance
your participation in the community. |
