SENIORNET PROGRAM

EAC’s SeniorNet Computer Learning Center is a great place for older people to learn how to use a computer and have fun at the same time!

What makes Senior Net different from other computer training programs is the individual attention from caring and qualified volunteer instructors. The classes are small, no more than 10 students, with a teacher and coach to help make learning easy and fun.

SeniorNet provides on-going computer classes on a variety of topics, including basic computer knowledge, word processing and use of the Internet. Trained volunteer instructors work with seniors in small group classes, held in Roslyn Heights, in Hicksville at The William P. Bennett Hicksville Community Center and The Bristal at North Hills. Students receive course materials and help with learning problems as they arise. Volunteer coaches assist with instruction, providing individualized support.
Interested individuals may register by phone, and pay a small fee for each course. Courses typically run one and a half hours one day a week for six to eight weeks.
