The Education & Assistance Corporation’s (EAC) Meals on Wheels Program received more than 25,000 food items and a cash donation of $12,500 from the fabulous employees of AmeriCorp, Intermark Media and Seton Inc, (subsidiaries of AmeriCorp). This is the third year the employees participated in a corporate challenge that continues to grow. AmeriCorp is based in Syosset and performs background processing for debt consolidation companies. AmeriCorp staff members arrived in panel trucks full of non perishable food that included cases of pasta, juice, cereal, snacks, soups, and vegetables.

The EAC’s Meals on Wheels program serves 100 meals daily to homebound senior citizens and to persons living with HIV/AIDS, who reside in Nassau County. The EAC helps more then 49,000 people each year with programs that provide educational, vocational and counseling services, mediation, rehabilitation for non-violent offenders and support to children, families and senior citizens.
