LONG ISLAND PARENTING INSTITUTE
The mission of the Long Island Parenting Institute is to enhance outcomes for children by helping parents of children of all ages learn and practice effective parenting skills. Using research-proven curriculum and approaches, the Institute teaches, supports and empowers families from all backgrounds and cultures.

LONG ISLAND SAFE HAVENS
Long Island Safe Havens provides a safe and neutral setting for families in conflict to exchange children for visitation through EAC’s Supervised Visitation Programs. Supervised Visitation is a program that works with the courts to provide a safe and neutral setting for visits for families in conflict.

MEALS-ON-WHEELS for SENIORS
The EAC Meals-on-Wheels Program provides senior citizens from the Westbury, Carle Place and New Cassel communities with home-delivered hot and cold meals daily. The EAC Meals-on-Wheels Program has been in operation since 1990.

MEDIATION ALTERNATIVE PROJECT
The Mediation Alternative Project (MAP) provides alternative dispute resolution services in the form of mediation and arbitration to residents of Nassau County. Opened in 1991, MAP serves over 6,000 clients annually.
MENTAL HEALTH COURT ADVOCACY SERVICES
The Mental Health Court Advocacy Services Program goal is to divert from further adjudication and confinement, one hundred (100) seriously and persistently mentally ill offenders charged with minor, low-level non- violent crimes at the first point of contact with Criminal Court, the Brooklyn Arraignment Court.

MISSION EMPLOYMENT
Mission Employment focuses on the development of essential foundation skills and competencies which help clients to obtain employment, job retention, vocational skills, education, GED, degree or certificate and literacy or numeracy gains. The program targets 19-21 year olds from Hempstead and Uniondale.

OUTPATIENT CLINIC
EAC's Outpatient Clinic is designed to help substance abusers begin their recovery in a safe and full service treatment program in a structured outpatient environment. Clients are given individual attention with treatment plans to identify their personal problems and set their goals.

PORT WASHINGTON SENIOR COMMUNITY SERVICE CENTER
The Port Washington Senior Community Service Center provides senior citizens from the Port Washington area with a daily hot lunch and a wide range of activities. Transportation is provided to and from the Center. Field trips to other centers and to area museums, beaches and places of interest are also part of the program's schedule.

PROJECT JUMPSTART
The goal of Project JUMPSTART is to provide low income Long Island residents with the means to access and maintain employment through the provision of used vehicles in excellent condition. Candidates for vehicles are selected by application, and must be working full time for a minimum of six months and be insurable. Participants are required to pay a no-interest car loan at a reduced rate.

PROJECT SUPPORT/EIP
The Project Support/ Early Intervention Program (EIP) is available for Nassau County residents and provides after court interviews to non-custodial parents on their newly ordered child support from Family Court. During the interview, profile information is collected and rights and responsibilities are explained before the parent leaves the Court.

QUEENS HIV+, HEPATITIS C & MINORITY RE-ENTRY PROJECT
The goal of the Queens HIV+, Hepatitis C and Minority Re-Entry Project is to provide HIV+ and Hepatitis C prevention and intervention services to the criminal justice population in Queens.  This population includes individuals returning to Queens from prison.

QUEENS TASC MENTAL HEALTH DIVERSION PROGRAM
The Queens TASC Mental Health Diversion Program is designed to accurately assess, refer to treatment and monitor progress of mentally ill individuals in the Queens criminal justice system. Working in collaboration with the District Attorney’s office and the Mental Health Court, EAC staff provide an in-depth diagnostic evaluation of the defendant and identify appropriate treatment resources that can meet the needs of the offender. The Queens program is modeled after EAC’s successful Bronx Mental Health Court Program.

ROCKLAND COUNTY TASC
The Rockland County TASC Program is an alternative -to-incarceration for non-violent predicate felony offenders whose substance abuse is related to their criminal activity. TASC Programs divert certain offenders out of the criminal justice system and into the drug treatment system in cases where the defendant is facing a prison sentence as a result of the commission of a non-violent crime.

SAFE START PROGRAM
The goal of the SAFE START Program is to improve the use of safety restraints for all motor vehicle occupants and to promote safer driving practices through education on topics such as aggressive driving, driving distractions, improper or non-use of seat belts, child safety seats, booster seats or other child passenger restraints and leaving children unattended in motor vehicles. The program is family-centered and targets the non-English and low income populations in Nassau County.

SAFETY NET ASSISTANCE PROJECT
The Safety Net Assistance Project (SNAP) is a Senior Assistance Outreach Program for adults over the age of 60 on public assistance. The EAC Case Manager receives referrals directly through the Department of Social Services and schedules a home visit. Assessments are completed to identify individual needs. Case Managers will respond with appropriate resource recommendations and referrals to employment/training, rehabilitative services as well as disability application assistance.

SANCTIONS INTENSIVE CASE SERVICES
This program works with temporary assistance recipients who have an extensive history of not complying with the Department of Social Services regulations. Clients are referred by the Department of Social Services and EAC staff conduct an in depth home-based assessment of family circumstances to identify any barriers that have prevented the individual from fully engaging in work activities.

SANCTIONS INTERVENTION PROJECT
The Sanctions Intervention Project assists public assistance recipients who are not in compliance with Social Service regulations and are therefore not receiving full benefits.

SDMC - SURROGATE DECISION MAKING COMMITTEE PROGRAM
The Surrogate Decision Making Committee Program provides an alternative to the courts to establish consent or refusal for medical or dental treatment for mental hygiene facility residents who are unable to provide their own informed consent and have no family or guardian to act on their behalf. The SDMC was started in 1986 following a review of the delay in proving timely access to major medical treatment due to the lack of an authorized decision-maker. EAC's program began in June of 1999, and serves Queens, Brooklyn, Nassau and Suffolk Counties.
SENIORNET PROGRAM
The SeniorNet Program provides computer instruction to people over the age of 50. Instruction is geared specifically for this population, many of whom have no previous computer experience. SeniorNet is a proven national model which provides technical assistance to local providers such as EAC.

SENIOR RESPITE PROGRAM
The EAC Senior Respite Program provides Nassau County residents caring for frail elderly relatives in their homes with much-needed "time off". Trained volunteers are matched with families and spend time at the home on a regular basis to allow caregivers to shop, keep medical appointments or attend recreational activities without worrying about the well-being of the individual in their care. The EAC Senior Respite Program has been in operation since 1987.

STATEN ISLAND ADOLESCENT DIVERSION PROGRAM
The Staten Island Adolescent Diversion Program operates as a prevention program for non-violent adolescents involved in the Criminal Justice system as a result of a substance abuse problem. The program also works with dropouts to assist them in returning to school.

STOPLIFT PROGRAM
The purpose of the STOPLIFT Program is to prevent recurring shoplifting behaviors by working with first-time offenders in an educational program. STOPLIFT has been operating since 1981. The program currently works with the Nassau, Suffolk, Brooklyn, Bronx, Queens and Manhattan court systems, serving adults in all jurisdictions, and juveniles in Nassau and Suffolk Counties through the Family Court and Probation Department.
