Purpose:  The objective of the Suited For Success Programs is to provide EAC clients with appropriate interview attire at no charge.  Suited For Success was implemented in Hempstead in 2001 and Brooklyn in 2007 to meet the needs of men and women who are returning to the workforce or entering the job market for the first time.

Description:  The program operates by appointment only, four days a week from 10:30-2:00PM in Hempstead and five days a week in Brooklyn. Their EAC counselor or case manager refers individuals to Suited For Success. Appointments are made with the individual so that they can "shop" for a suitable interview outfit. An EAC employee assists them in locating and trying on suitable attire. Wardrobe advice is also given.
The Suited For Success Boutique is filled with mint condition suits, shirts, blazers, blouses, shoes and handbags, which have all been donated.  All clothing donations are tax deductible.  EAC will also assist in outfitting clients referred from outside agencies at a nominal charge.

Funding:  Current funding for the program in Hempstead has been provided by Astoria Federal Savings and by private donors. Current funding for the program in Brooklyn has been provided by The Judith C. White Foundation, Inc.
