SANCTIONS INTENSIVE CASE SERVICES

Purpose: This program works with temporary assistance recipients who have an extensive history of not complying with the Suffolk County Department of Social Services regulations. Clients are referred by the Suffolk County Department of Social Services and EAC staff conduct an in depth home-based assessment of family circumstances to identify any barriers that have prevented the individual from fully engaging in work activities.

Description: The home visit provides a more in depth assessment of family circumstances and identifies any barriers that has prevented the individual from fully engaging in work activities or identifies any previously undisclosed income or assets. Individuals found to be in need of community based services will be case managed by EAC, and linked with an appropriate resource. Individuals found to be work ready will be provided with a bonafide job and the individual will receive job mentoring and/or job coaching services.
