Purpose:
EAC's Outpatient Clinic is designed to help substance
abusers begin their recovery in a safe and full service
treatment program in a structured outpatient environment.
Clients are given individual attention with treatment
plans to identify their personal problems and set
their goals.
Description:
Clients can participate in this program under their
own initiative or are referred by the criminal justice
system. Clients are monitored one-on-one with the
goal of attaining and continuing abstinence from substances
while vocational/educational goals are identified
and support is provided to attain them. Group therapy
includes specialized groups for men and women.
The
program targets women; homeless; HIV + and AIDS patients;
those involved in the criminal justice system, and
those who are in need of detoxification, medical and
social services.
Funding:
The New York State Office of Alcohol and Substance
Abuse Services through the Nassau County Department
of Drug and Alcohol Addiction provides funds for this
program. Fees are based on a sliding scale.
