Purpose:
The TASC - Extended Willard Treatment Campus has
been operational since December, 1999 and is designed
to implement the fifteen month Judicially Sanctioned
Willard Model as a Pilot in both Bronx and Queens
Counties. Within the project the Courts in both these
counties, in collaboration with the District Attorneys
in these counties, will sentence appropriate second
felony offender, substance abusing defendants to NYS
Parole supervision wherein it will be required that
these defendants spend a minimum period of 3 months
at the Willard Treatment Campus to be followed by
at least 6 months of community based residential treatment
and then 6 months in an outpatient aftercare program.
The goal of the project is to create a successful
treatment model that will inspire the confidence of
the Courts, the District Attorneys and the community
and result in the successful rehabilitation of participants
who upon return to their communities will be better
able to make a positive contribution.
Eligible
Participants: Must be non-violent substance abusing
second-felony offenders who are selected by TASC for
the Willard Extended Treatment Campus. The program
is a joint collaboration between the Courts, the District

Funding:
The program is funded by the NYS Division of Criminal
Justice Services.
