EAC’S ANNUAL SPRING LUNCHEON MARCH 24, 2010

(Hempstead, NY)…The Education & Assistance Corporation’s (EAC) Annual Spring Luncheon presented by Bethpage Federal Credit Union, will be held at the Crest Hollow Country Club in Woodbury on Wednesday, March 24, 2010.

EAC is proud to be honoring C. Glenn Schor, General Counsel & Chief Operating Officer of The Treeline Companies; and Corporate Champion, MSC Industrial Direct Company, Inc.; The Elena M. Perez Unsung Hero Award will be presented to Timothy McCallan, Founder & CEO of AmeriCorp. Elena M. Perez was an EAC Board Member and the Senior Vice President, Long Island Market Development at the Bank of America who passed away suddenly in 2007. She worked tirelessly for the not-for-profit community and EAC commemorates Elena’s memory by presenting our Unsung Hero award in her honor.

The organization’s 70 programs protect children, create opportunities for seniors, promote healthy families and communities, empower people through employment and education, and provide alternatives for people with substance abuse and mental health needs. EAC effectively serves more than 57,000 people annually.
