Casino Night Raises Over $130,000

EAC Network hosted its second annual Casino Night on March 10, 2016 at the Carlyle on the Green in Bethpage State Park.  The organization honored its long-time friend, Board Member, and Board Chairman Emeritus Joseph A. Quatela, Esq., partner at Quatela, Hargraves & Chimeri, PLLC, for his dedication to the agency and to helping the community at large as well as awarded him with its inaugural Steven J. Eisman Humanitarian Award, in memory of the late Steven J. Eisman, Esq., another long-time Board Member and Board Chairman Emeritus of EAC Network.

“I am honored to receive this astounding recognition, but it is truly everyone at EAC Network who deserves to be acknowledged,” said Mr. Quatela.  “I’ve been involved with this agency for so many years and I am so proud to be affiliated with an organization that reaches so many people in need right here in our own communities.”

Proceeds from the event benefit all of EAC Network’s services that protect at-risk children, support senior citizens, help people with mental health and substance abuse problems, educate people seeking financial independence, assist individuals who are under or unemployed, mediate disputes, and work with families in crisis, which impact over 71,000 lives each year.  This helps fill in the cracks for programs like Nassau Supervised Visitation, which provides safe visits between children and their non-custodial parents, and the Suffolk County Children’s Center at Cohalan Court, which offers a child-friendly environment where children are supervised while parents attend to court business as well as promotes literacy.

“I just want to thank Joe, our top sponsors Bethpage Federal Credit Union, MSC Industrial Supply Co., Astoria Bank, M&T Bank, NFP/BWD Group, Quatela, Hargraves & Chimeri, PLLC, our devoted family of supporters, and our newfound supporters for their tremendous dedication and generosity,” expressed Lance W. Elder, President & CEO at EAC Network.  “We couldn’t have achieved this without them.”
