The Brooklyn Mental Health Diversion Project screens, assesses, places and monitors the progress of mentally ill individuals involved in the Brooklyn criminal justice system. In addition to comprehensive treatment planning and assistance with housing, basic needs and medication, staff work with participants to help them understand and change criminal thinking and behaviors.
