The Brooklyn Forensic Link Program assists over 1,000 severely and persistently mentally ill offenders each year released from Rikers Island with treatment and related transitional services. Participants who would otherwise struggle to function in the community are assisted with psychiatric care, aquiring suitable housing, entitlements and others services including but not limited to mental health, drug and alcohol treatment, medical care and vocational and educational placement. Community re-entry and family reconnections are also important building blocks to successful reintegration.
